About Me

My photo
I retired on March 11th 2014 after 26 years as a doctors receptionist. I am now looking forward to the freedom to enjoy my days doing anything I wish to. Spending time with family, catching up with friends. Playing in my Scrappy Shack, scrapbooking, cardmaking, art journalling, quilting, gardening, baking. Spending wonderful times with my beloved other half. I am so looking forward to this time in my life.

Stamp Drawers

As part of the stocking of my new shed, my stamps are now back in their drawers and are settling nicely thank you:)

Four of the drawers are three levels of stamps deep, the Christmas drawer is a little empty as there at least one more box of stamps somewhere, I think the may still be in storage. I haven't been stamping for a couple of years, but when I  get back, from holiday, I will be like "a pig in muck "as they say. I am really looking forward to getting going again.

WOYWW

These little beauties came through my letterbox this morning.
I found Lavina Stamps as I was on my way out of the Stamp Festival on Saturday.
I fell for them straight away. Unfortunately I had no cash left and they did'n't take cards.
But the very kind young lady took my phone number and rang me yesterday, took my card details and
Hey Presto they arrived with a little fairy dust this morning. So this is my offering for WOYWW.
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to show some cards with these images on them:)
I wish it could be sooner but we are off on holiday on Sunday for a fortnight....

Goodies Part Two

My first Cosmic experience in coming.
Thanks to Jo at Jozart and her friendly demo's
on Saturday.  Watch this space..

My Best friend Trish has been raving about Claritystamps for a while, Barbara Gray was demonstrating at Port Sunlight on Saturday and I am now hooked. She has made me look at stamping in a whole new way.

Mr Holtz was everywhere on
Saturday and I had to buy something...zzzz

Trish bought me the red suitcase along with a purple one, not yet photographed.  They are gorgeous and hold a lot of goodies. The wooden box is one of two, bought on Saturday. we have on each and we now have a project.  We are to decorate and fill the box and the project is called
 "A Box Full of Love"
Again, Watch this space.

I really cannot wait to get playing.

Goodies From Happy Stampers Festival

My Best friend Trish and i had a great day out yesterday at Port Sunight's Hulme Hall at a stamp festival organised by http://happystampersnorthwest.co.uk/default.aspx

This is a twice a year occassion and it is always a very enjoyable occassion. This was Trish's first time and she lovled it as much as me.  We spent too much, laughed a lot, learnt much and basically had
A FaBuLouS Day!!

Here are some photo's of some of my goodies:

Fabulous Rubber Stamps from Hero Arts  and Crafty Individuals.

I love these Clings by Hero Arts

Can't wait to start playing with them.

The cards I saw, made with these stamps were wonderful, I especailly loved the tree's. (I have a lot of  tree stamps)

I have seen this brand of stamps in craft magazines but never owned any, more playing and experimenting needed.

Of course I had to have a bit of Mr Holtz, ended up with more than I planned though. All due to Jo who was demonstrating for StampAttack

We had a great time, our feet and our purses had a bit of a grumble at the end of the day, but it is great to come back home with some fresh ideas.  There is more, but I will save that for another day.  My main priorty today is finding space for my new goodies in my shack:o)
