About Me

My photo
I retired on March 11th 2014 after 26 years as a doctors receptionist. I am now looking forward to the freedom to enjoy my days doing anything I wish to. Spending time with family, catching up with friends. Playing in my Scrappy Shack, scrapbooking, cardmaking, art journalling, quilting, gardening, baking. Spending wonderful times with my beloved other half. I am so looking forward to this time in my life.

My Three Gorgeous Girlies

We had a lot of fun yesterday doing "A Photo Shoot" The weather curtailed things a little but I think I got some delightful photo's. Considering it was the first time I had used my "Big Girl" camera for the first time with the girls. The girls were very good for me, There are so many more, I took 218 photo's, I am working my way through them.  Enjoying every minute.

Love is the only thing that we can carry with us

Pretty Pink Patio Plants

I have some beautiful Fushia's and Geraniums in my planters and troughs this year.
They make me smile every time I go out to my shed.
Wish I could paint them.

One of My Favourite Wild Flowers

Rosebay Willowherb, a pretty name for an even prettier flower.

I love to see them on motorway verges.
These were on a country road on the way to Dollar.
So we stopped to take some pictures.

My First Attempt at Art Journalling

I am still not confident about painting, I am still more comfortable with stamped images.  I may get to playing without stamps before the end of the month. But doubt if I could ever not have them.

Thirty Days Hath September

September is my favourite month of the year, followed closely by October. Autumn being my favourite time of the year. With the coldest summer for eighteen years departing yesterday, I am looking forward to the warm, rich colours of Autumn to brighten things up.  I remember as a child and also when my own children were of school age,  September was always warm and the sunshine was so beautiful it took my breath away at times. It always coincided with the start of the school year and it seemed such a shame that summers final glory came during term time.

I have given myself a project for September, I am going to try to post here everyday, something I have created, be it photo, a card, a scrapbook page, some art journalling (just getting into it). I so want to get back into having some fun with all the "Toys" I have at my disposal.  Today it is a set of canvas's I have done for my granddaugher for her new bedroom.
