About Me

My photo
I retired on March 11th 2014 after 26 years as a doctors receptionist. I am now looking forward to the freedom to enjoy my days doing anything I wish to. Spending time with family, catching up with friends. Playing in my Scrappy Shack, scrapbooking, cardmaking, art journalling, quilting, gardening, baking. Spending wonderful times with my beloved other half. I am so looking forward to this time in my life.

WOYWW

I have been gone a while, but I am back and hopefully will start some serious playing in the not too distant future. On my play desk this morning is a delightful stash I bought yesterday on a jaunt to Art From the Heart in Harrogate. What a FABULOUS shop!  I could have broke the bank but I was kept in check by my beloved.  Well sort of, because when we were having a bite to eat in the cafe downstairs, he offered to buy me the Dylusions sprays I had been coveting. Hence  back upstairs we went and purchased eight delicious colours just waiting to enhance my world.  I NEED all the colours though so I may be visiting again online before very long.  I also bought three Moleskin journals, not the really grown up one's but the learner one's. I want to get into art journalling so thought these would be  good to get started with. Any tips on getting started would be graciously received.

Anyway must get gone, have a great day grazing on delicious arty desks via

  4. I'm having a quick trip round the WOYWWers before I start on my next batch of little African dresses. It's great to see what you're busy with this week.

  5. Bet you are itching to get going with the Dylusions, know I would be. I'm another 'would-be' art journalist but haven't the foggiest of how I would start

  7. awesome! I WISH we could get the Dylusions line here in the states but to order it from over seas it is cost prohibitive. I read though that we can now get Dyan's stamps at Stampers Anonymous! Yay! Enjoy your goodies! Have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie

  9. Now, I'm not a bit jealous of those dilusions ... no, not a bit ... not at all. My day will come:) Seriously, your DH must be a lovely fella to treat you to these bottles of gorgeousness. Good luck with the Moleskine journals - didn't know of the beginners ones ... they all look a bit too grown up for me! Have a great week. Elizabeth x #69

  10. Funny I should read this post today, I was looking through Dyans website & blog last night! I have the moleskin & some paint too and just keep looking at it! I think with that kind of art you can just get stuck in and see where it takes you, I look forward to seeing what you make! Tracey x
