Don't all faint with shock, yes this is inside my
Scrappy Shack
instead of my kitchen.
I am finally able to get to the workspace, but I have a serious problem with too much "Stuff"
These two little treasures were bought up at one the antiques shops up at Lady Heyes.
The little cabinet in the front I have had my eye one for about five weeks. So when it was still there last weekend I decided it needed to come home with me and have a little alteration or two done to it.
When I get round to it is another matter!!!
The wooden contraption behind it is a little treasure my husband found a few weeks ago in the same antiques place. It is a guillotine, and a very good one at that. I used it for cutting card for wedding invitations and it was superb. It is over 80 years old too.
Hi Sheilagh, nice to have a peek inside the shack. Love the cabinet and can't wait to see what you do with it. The guillotine is wonderful, what a find.

ReplyDeleteHi Sheilagh, remember me? Love your recent buys and can't wait to see what you make with the set of shelves. Hope you get them done quicker than I got mine done (I bought a similar type little unit over a year ago and it still is not touched. Ah well, such is life. Lovely guillotine!
ReplyDeleteTake care, think about you often,

I love that little cabinet! There seems to be a real dearth of good antique/bric-a-brac shops around here and I miss being able to find little treasures like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Ali #77
Fabulous space - love the cabinet.

That is one fancy and fabulous guillotine cutter. There is one at my office which is really old, really heavy, sturdy and works great. I always tell them if it comes up missing, they know who to blame. Great little cabinet too. I can see how you had to have it. I like your crafting space. I think we all suffer from "too much stuff"! It is quite the disease.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and useful antique, that guillotine is! Your space looks well organized though, hope you get to use it lots...:)

ReplyDeleteIts a strange thing about spaces ....one always has too much 'stuff'...but you are organized though. Love the cabinet and your hubbys find is a treasure.
ReplyDeleteBack in the day of owning a craft shop, I seriously considered breaking into my old school to liberate the guillotine that looked similar to your fantastic purchase. It was unused and I know exactly which cupboard it had been left in......hold onto it Sheilagh, it was a great find!!
ReplyDeleteHow is that mojo talisman working then? I've got a pot full of them on my desk and they're doing nothing for me!!
now you can execute some great projects.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab find that guillotine and a cute little cabinet too, now the challenge is for you to actually do something with it and post it on the site. Happy crafting.
